Who we are

My name is Micah, and I’m the creator of Callahan Wildlife. With a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Portland State University and a lifelong residency in Oregon, I am deeply committed to our region’s vital natural resources. Having worked for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, I’ve witnessed firsthand the challenges and misinformation that arise at the intersection of wildlife and human interaction.

I believe it’s time to bridge the gap between science and the community. There are pressing issues that need solutions, yet many voices remain unheard. How can we protect our wildlife while ensuring that people maintain their livelihoods? At Callahan Wildlife, my goal is to open the doors to a better understanding of these complexities, empowering those who care about our ecosystems to engage with the science behind them.
